  • SCLCR/L boring bars use the two 80º corners of CC__ inserts mounted at 95º to the axis of the lathe. Their shape allows straight boring to a shoulder, as well as internal facing cuts. This is the most versatile type of boring bar, and uses the same inserts as the external SCLCR tool holders. These boring bars can generally work with overhangs of up to 5 times the boring bar diameter without the tool starting to vibrate.
